Jersey is the largest of the Channel Islands, situated just off the north-west coast of France. Easily accessible by plane and ferry from both the UK and France, Jersey’s beauty draws many thousands of visitors each year. The island’s capital is St. Helier, a shopping and financial centre. Ferries arrive here from Portsmouth, Poole and Weymouth in the UK, Guernsey in the Channel Islands and St. Malo, Carteret and Granville in France.From the airport in St. Peter, it costs around £15 for the six-mile taxi ride into St. Helier.
